Xin Lu Teochew Fishball Noodles at Mei Ling

This was a stall that had garnered a loyal following since it was at Margaret Drive, and I was one of those loyal followers. The taste simply reminded me of happy and simpler childhood and teenager times.
The noodles were tasty and bouncy, and the fishballs had a nice flavour of fish and was not overly bouncy, having some bite and textural contrast. The sauce had a 古早味, with some sour and sweetness of ketchup and fragrance of belachan, as well as the savouriness of various other sauces. Nice as always.
