This was a storied store, featured extensively by the media. All the side dishes in the set lunch were good. The kong bak especially was soft, savoury and fragrant. Nice and homely.
I had gone back again on September 26 for lunch. The otah was superb, sufficiently spicy, with nice creamy yet uneven texture, and bits of fish within. The ngoh hiong was clearly homemade, tasty and savoury with various ingredients and waterchestnut within, although I felt that the fillings was too evenly ground up. The sotong was tender yet qq, cooked in a potent and fragrant sambal. Definitely worth coming back again to try the other dishes.
