Xing Heng Feng Mushroom Minced Meat Noodle at Toa Payoh

Recommended by All About Ceil. No frills but done really well. The noodles were cooked well, and tossed in a very rounded and balanced sauce, with some savouriness, umaminess and a very slight tartness from the vinegar. The ingredients were fresh and nice as well – you could taste the crunchiness and freshness of the pork liver. The soup was the slightly cloudy variety, with some meatiness and freshness. Just a notch less tasty than Macpherson Bak Chor Mee at Marsiling, with no clear pork lard and sole fish flavour. I slumped this up really quickly unknowingly.
