Westlake – Kong Bak Pau at Farrer

Seriously good stuff. I think this is the best kong bak pau in Singapore. The meat was tender, unctuous, savoury and flavourful, without being cloying. The sauce was thick and luscious – a good balance of sweet and savoury. The man tou was soft and pillowy. I finished all five by myself, which was surprising to the cashier… This was a really nice old-school restaurant sitting below a bunch of HDB flats, offering particularly tasty and good-value reunion dinner sets.
