亚诚潮州肉脞面 Ah Sing Teo Chew Minced Meat Noodles at Hong Lim

Recommended by Johor Kaki. Ah Sing, no relation of Ah Kow, had taken over Ah Kow’s famous spot. The bak chor mee was not bad, with the requisite minced pork, sliced pork, stewed mushroom, dumpling, pork lard and tee poh present. An added bonus was the clearly handmade, nicely textured and tasty fishballs with the taste of fresh fish. I found the flavour of the noodles to be slightly lacking in punch though, neither having enough of the meat mushroom flavour nor the twang of the vinegar. Still popular, with a steady stream of customers. 7.5/10.
