Wen Kang Ji – Wanton Noodles at Golden Mile

A new and suddenly much raved about stall after the Golden Mile Food Centre reopened. Everything was good – the char siew was caramelised, sweet and unctuous, the wantons full and meaty, and the sauce sweet and fragrant with a chicken broth base I think. The noodles were a bit thicker than I liked it and a bit starchy, but I realised this was the thickness of old school wanton mee. The soup was meh though… Overall a very good plate.
The stall was located in the same row of stalls as Charlie’s Peranakan, in the same cluster of stalls as Ashes Burnnit.
