Yong Xuan Fried Kway Teow at Lavender

The texture of the black char kway teow was very good. Nua nua (soft) and close to disintegration, moist, with all the flavours from the egg, cockles, pork lard and sauce, and wok hei mixed in together. The sauce was a bit too sweet, but everything else about this char kway teow was good, including the chao ta lup cheong. Young hawker opening in difficult times, but with a very good offering. Close to Tai Hwa at Crawford Lane, and recommended by 8 Days and ieatishootipost.
