By Chef Shen, whom I had been following through her various outlets/consultancies. The rice here was really soft, fluffy and moist, and yet grainy, with a very nice coconut milk and pandan fragrance. The sambal belachan was piquant bittersweet yet packed a punch, and the fried chicken was competent – moist inside, crispy outside and slightly savoury – nice with the limey sweet and sour chilli sauce. Altogether more complex flavours, making for a pleasing combination.
