Recommended by 8 Days, and opened by an ex-Kilo head chef. The stock was clear and umami from the duck bones, salted vegetables, fried baby sardines and shoyu. The smoked duck fat lent a bit of greasiness and richness. The ramen was qq, and the grilled duck breast chashu was tender, tasty and lent a nice smokiness to the whole bowl.
The ngoh hiong was the bomb. Savoury, garlicky and crunchy from the diced waterchestnuts, with a distinct saltiness reminding me of the ngoh hiong many years ago from a coffeeshop stall at the Commonwealth Cresecent Market. Nice.
