Wow! Skewer Bar at Simpang Bedok

I loved the tsukune chicken ball and duck meatball, which were smoky and tasty, although the texture was quite uniform. The duck meatball tasted particularly sweet. The bacon quail egg was also quite nice, in that the yolk of the quail egg was soft and mushy. The sausage was nicely charred and sweet. Only the teriyaki chicken disappointed – the taste was quite flat.
The chilli was really something and had a real kick – it was smoky, prawny, garlicky and spicy. The spiciness lingered in the mouth long after I finished the skewers, and the mask helped to trap it in further (faint!).
Good value for $10.70 altogether.
