下楼家 House Downstairs – Cafe at Ghim Moh

FEBRUARY 19, 2021

Went first on 19 Feb for cake and coffee, which I though was quite decent. I thought the latte was quite smooth and nice.

Returned again on 12 Apr for the House Signature Craygee, which was their pao fan with seafood broth, a mound of fried rice, seafood broth, onions, clams, Thai feiji prawns, and crayfish. I though this was very nice, although a bit expensive at $22. The fried rice had a nice subtle flavour, and was pressed together almost like a chicken rice ball. The seafood were all fresh, bouncy and sweet. The broth was very good, full of the sweetness and umami of seafood, and murky with flavour. It was a pity there was so little of the broth.
