Sisters’ Penang Taste – Penang Char Kway Teow at Jalan Sultan Kampong Glam

Recommended by 8 Days, and opened by a couple of Penangnites. Quite a fragrant char kway teow with good wok hei, garlic and pork lard fragrance, and more savoury and dry than sweet and wet. A good representation of Penang rather than Singapore char kway teow, as it is labelled, although 8 Days stated that it had a splash of dark soy sauce. The kway teow also came with Chinese sausage and plump and fairly large prawns, although the entire portion was a bit small.
